New York Knicks: Josh Hart’s Painful Reaction to Standing Ovation From MSG Crowd During Game 7 Blowout Vs. Pacers
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

You can’t fault New York Knicks stud Josh Hart for the effort he put in during their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, it all came to an end for the Knicks on Sunday after they suffered a brutal 130-109 blowout loss in Game 7 in Madison Square Garden.

Hart left everything on the floor yet again on Sunday before being forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after his sixth foul. It was a heartbreaking end to what was a memorable campaign for the fan-favorite forward.

New York Knicks News: Josh Hart Reacts to Standing Ovation

The Knicks fans know full well just how hard Hart plays every single night. Despite the relatively modest numbers he turned in on Sunday (10 points, eight rebounds, five assists) before fouling out, Hart was one of the few bright spots in what was a forgettable outing for the squad.

This is exactly why the MSG crowd showered Hart with love as he exited the game for one last time this season. The home fans were on their feet as they applauded the 29-year-old for a job well done not just in this game, but throughout the 2023-24 season:

After the game, Hart was asked to share his reaction to the awesome gesture from Knicks fans as he headed to the bench in the dying minutes of Game 7.  The 6-foot-4 forward had nothing but love for New York supporters as he thanked them for embracing him this season (h/t Steve Popper of Newsday Sports):

As it was mentioned in the broadcast, it just feels that Hart has been a member of the Knicks much longer than his one-and-a-half years with the organization.
