Another long-awaited Nike Kobe Bryant sneaker will be on the way next year as we’ve already caught glimpses of the upcoming pair across the NBA. Vanessa Bryant and the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation recently held a skills academy for underprivileged youth as a way to keep the Mamba legacy alive and help guide the next generation of hoopers. During the camp, the Bryant’s debuted an all-new pair of Nike Kobe 6 Protro sneakers, which are now slated for a public release in 2025. Check out our Sneakers news for more upcoming releases and breaking content.

In honor of 2024, or “Mamba Year,” Nike and Vanessa Bryant have teamed up to bring back some of the most classic Nike Kobe sneakers into production and continue the legacy of Nike’s most popular basketball sneakers. On any given night in the NBA, vast numbers of players can be seen rocking Nike Kobe sneakers, oftentimes in PE (Player Exclusive) colorways to match their uniforms. This upcoming pair, titled “Sail,” will be perfect for any ensemble and we’ve already seen a few NBA players like DeMar DeRozan rock these in a game.

First released in 2010, the Nike Kobe 6 is arguably the most pivotal sneaker in the Kobe series and revolutionized the sneaker game with its iconic snake skin upper. The silhouette has donned some of the most popular colorways, specifically the “Grinch” and “Reverse Grinch” sneakers that have re-released over the last couple of year. As a favorite among hoopers and sneaker enthusiasts, everyone is excited to see another Nike Kobe 6 on the way.

The Nike Kobe 6 “Sail” will come in an off-white, or sail, predominant colorway. The clean color extends through the outsole, midsole, upper, tongue, and laces. The shoes feature extremely subtle hits of platinum violet that shine along the sockliner and Nike Zoom outsole unit. The shoes are accented by a black Nike Swoosh and a black Mamba logo on the tongues. Players like Myles Turner, PJ Tucker, and Tyrese Haliburton have all rocked these in-game along with other NBA superstars.

Last week, we saw Vanessa Bryant rock the pair with an all-white outfit as she sat next to Sabrina Ionescu, who rocked the latest Nike Kobe 6 “Italian Camo.” All in all, it was another successful event for the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation and it’s great to see them making a positive difference while keeping the presence of Kobe Bryant fresh on everyone’s mind.

According to sneaker source @zSneakerheadz, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Sail” will release sometime during the Spring of 2025. While the release date is still a ways away, Kobe fans are already marking their calendars for this upcoming drop. The shoes are expected to stay within the standard price tag of $190 and given the versatile wearability of these, we should see them drop in kid’s sizing as well. Either way, expect to see these on basketball courts all over the world once they see their formal release.

What do you think of this upcoming Nike Kobe 6? Will you be lining-up on release day?
